When hosting your estate sale DC will:
-Meet with you and discuss expectations of your estate sale, as well as go over the service contract and answer any and all questions.
-Upon a walk-thru, assess the value of the items in the household and make price recommendations.
-Research special items such as antiques and collectibles.
-Photograph items for use in advertisements and promotion of the sale.
-Advertise and drive traffic for a successful event.
-Provide adequate staff on hand to answer potential buyer’s questions.
-Take full responsibility for the event, including presentation, some house cleaning, any needed re-organization, and clear pricing/marking of items.
-Discuss service rates with you. This can run between 30 to 40 percent depending on the total money made during the sale. The minimum projected sales must be $4,000 or greater. The rate scale based on projected sales is as follows:
$4K to $7,999 – 40% of sales
$8K to $11,999 – 35% of sales
$12K and up – 30% of sales
